Querencias = homing instincts

on a map we can draw all the lines

horizontal straight diagonal

from the Greenwich Meridian to the Gulf of Mexico

that more or less

comprise the quirks of our identity

there are also maps so large, so very large

in our imagination

and globes that go on forever

sketched on a piece of notebook paper

we could fit all of our history

all of it
